About us
Established in 2001, Coast & Country took over the ownership and management of homes from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council as part of a large-scale stock transfer in July 2002.
As the largest RSL in Redcar and Cleveland, we had a total of 10,199 homes available for rent, as at 31 March 2009, with a further 32 shared-ownership properties.
The company is a 'not for profit' local housing company limited by guarantee. We are a registered social landlord (RSL) and are regulated by the Tenant Services Authority.
The Tenant Services Authority is in the process of laying down clear regulatory requirements for companies such as Coast & Country.
The previous regulation was carried out by the Housing Corporation, where the company was assessed against the requirements of their code.

Iain Sim is the Chief Executive and is supported by three directors, each heading the following departments:

- Housing Operations
- Regeneration & Development
In December 2007 we launched our home ownership brand – times4 .
Through our times4 brand we will provide high-quality, affordable properties with a range of purchase options, from shared ownership or shared equity to outright purchase.
